Deleting Embarrassing Streaming History From Netflix Is Now Possible
If you are living with someone or sharing your Netflix account, you do not need to worry about your view history or streaming history anymore. You can hide your streaming history from ‘Continue Watching’ or completely delete it as the online platform lets you do it that now. Watching something that you do not want anyone else to see happens with everyone.
Everyone picks a movie or a television series out of sheer curiosity but do not want others to know that you have watched it. And do not worry you are not the only one who has picked something and now you do not want others to know. Everyone has many picks they want to never talk about, even with your significant others, parents, or your closet friends.
Whatever is shown or streaming on the online platform is all-natural or science fiction. And there are millions of people out there checking the same stuff. It is just that you do not want others to know about it which is perfectly fine. We all have secrets and which movie or television series we are watching can surely remain a secret from others.
According to The Verge, the online streaming platform Netflix is now allowing viewers to hide or delete their streaming history by simply clicking on the title of the show or the movie and just shutting it off. Now you can watch all the movies and shows you want to without anyone getting to know about it.
The Verge reported: “If someone is no longer interested in watching a movie or a TV show, the title doesn’t disappear from the row. It eventually gets pushed down the line as new titles are watched, but it doesn’t just go away.” But there is a catch in this as well. A catch is there for people using different technologies to run the online streaming platform.
According to the reports by The Verge, this feature of hiding or deleting your view and streaming history is only available for Android users. People using Android Netflix application can only use this feature. But their reports also mentioned that the same feature will be launched for the Apple users as well. People using Apple TV and other Apple devices will be able to use this function after 29th June.
Another way to hide the streaming history is just to click on loads of other shows you want to watch so that the embarrassing movie or show moves further down the streaming history and no one can get a glimpse of it. Other than that the simplest way is to log into your web browser history and visit the site. Click on your account and move to view activity. There comes an option ‘hide from your viewing history’. Select that option, simple as that.
