LEGO Is Launching Miniatures Of Vin Diesel’s Car From Fast & Furious
Yes, Lego is all geared up to manufacture a limited edition of the Dominic Toretto’s black 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. Amazed, right? The series will only contain about 1000 pieces and of course, would not be cheap. The toy company has for the first time entered the world of illegitimate drug peddling and racing, and the results are pretty impressive. Samuel Tacchi, the designer of Lego’s first Technic, speaking of the big launch said that the company has partnered with Universal Studios for the same.
Tacchi has worked in close proximity to the team and makers of the film to get everything right. He wishes to bring life to the vehicle in as perfect ways as possible. And thus, he has worked super hard on minutest of the details. The toy car would be priced at about a hundred dollars and will be an exact replica of the one in the movie. Its bonnet would be opened by the charger to reveal its V8 quality engine, whilst its trunk would hold nitro bottles at the back. Apart from all this, there are also fire extinguishers that have been added to its front.
The car is a blessing to the ones who are a die-hard fan of the movie series but probably play no role in satisfying people who do not follow the franchise. And even though the manufacturing is still going on, one can place an advance order and book their gizmo. In a recent update, LEGO delayed the launch of the product due to the sudden lockdown in the country, and fans are definitely not thrilled. Last year during Christmas time the toy-making giants introduced an old school Batman toy, which took many down the nostalgia lane. And of course, it is nothing else than the 3306 pieces set of Michael Keaton’s Batmobile.
This set consists of three figurines apart from the batmobile- Joker, Vicki Vale, and Batman. All these characters belong to the 1989 motion picture and there is no question that Lego has worked tirelessly to get things right. The launch was to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film series. But sadly, not everyone gets to have an edition. The set is priced at a high amount of 399 dollars and cannot be afforded by many.
Coming back to their current project, Dominic Toretto’s is all set to hit the market on April 27th. Thrilled much?
