Microbiologist Cleverly Uses Bacteria To Hatch Vibrant ‘GOT’ Themed Sigils
Bria O’Brien is famous for engineering her own bacteria growing channels and previously created the ‘Stranger Things’ mind flayer and holiday plates came up with yet another masterpiece in her Virginia based laboratory. These sigils represent the six different houses – Starks, Targaryens, Lannisters, Tyrells, Grejoys and Tullys and were released on the microbiology subreddit on 14th of May. Her task usually involves careful vigilance of the cultured petri dishes and streaking them in a zigzag pattern to ensure nothing contaminates.

She used different organisms and media for each house, the Stark- Staph aureus on Baird Parker Agar (BPA), the Targaryen- E. Coli on Levine Eosin Methylene Blue Agar (LEMB), Lannister- Salmonella typhimuriumon Brilliant Green Agar, Tyrell- Candida albicans on Dichloran Rose Bengal Agar (DRBC), Grejoy- Salmonella typhimurium on Hektoen Enteric Agar (HE) and Tully- Listeria monocytogenes on ALOA, once this sorting was done, the bacteria developed forming the desired drawing on the agar medium.
O’ Brien who roots for the Starks plans on submitting her gem to the annual art contest held at the American Society for Microbiology. She carefully examined the original pictures and then cautiously used a combination of infecund water, bacteria colony and a jabbing needle to design her artwork.
She also claimed that the Starks have the largest number of morally good people and she would want to see most of them alive. After the series finale she plans to make some more dedications depending upon how thing goes.
