Nintendo Switch Airport Lounges Are A Real Thing Now

Gaming July, 10, 2025

Everyone loves a vacation. But going to a place requires some time investment and patience. Nobody likes waking up early in the morning and queuing up for boarding passes and going through the hustle of waiting in departure lounges. The worst experience of traveling is delayed flights.

From February 13, these problems became fun when Nintendo installed the switch pop up lounges in various airports. This step was taken by Nintendo to make the traveling experiences better. This was especially done for the game lovers.

Game lovers can play games in both portable and TV mode. The games which they can play are The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario Party. Besides playing games, Nintendo also provides the facility of charging the phone. Not only this, one can also grasp some freebies in those lounges.

Well, if you want to get your hands on a switch while paying a visit to the pop-up lounge you can get one or more. However, the only issue is you won’t get that on the same day. Nintendo didn’t want to increase your load while traveling when you already have much luggage. Keeping this in mind, Nintendo will deliver the console to your house.

There have many such ideas to attract customers as well. If you acquire a Switch or Switch Lite, you will receive a carrying case for free. Purchasers will be given free Nintendo themed luggage handle wrap and a free $10 target coupon on the spending of $75 or more. This is the best deal, indeed!

Nintendo is very excited to see people’s responses to this new pop-up lounge. Till today, the gamers had access to games in the home console only. At the moment, Nintendo wants to observe how people would react to the handheld console that could be a traveling companion.

However, this great experiment is done in only four airports and that too for a short period. The four lucky airports of US which have this facility are Dallas Love Field Airport in Dallas, Texas from February 13 to March 26; Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. from February 17-March 29; Tacoma International Airport in Seattle, Washington from February 17-March 29; and O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois, from February 17-March 29.

If you are a game lover and have the chance to visit these airports in the given schedule, then these two months are the luckiest month of your life. Nothing could be better than this. However, if you have missed the chance, we hope that you don’t feel down. We are hoping that soon Nintendo would come up with this facility at other airports too.
