This Doctor Prescribed Ban On Fortnite Game For Two Weeks For Recovery
This matter got momentum when Dr Amir Khan of Channel 5’s ‘GPs Behind Closed Doors’ tweeted the remarkable incident. Dealing with an 11-year old boy, the doctor took the unprecedented move. He told the boy not to play the dreadful Fortnite or Minecraft video game. Not just that, he even prescribed it on his pad and signed it. Thus, the humble advice was ultimately turned into a well-defined prescription.
This highlighted the determination of the doctor to get his little patient out of the tempest of gaming addiction. But after a moment, he was trying to figure out the possible ways available to a pharmacist to deal with his prescription. He laughed it off and wished good luck to the pharmacists. His 20,000 followers were quick to catch it. And then the platform was in spate with thousands of feedbacks.
The best prescription I gave today was to an 11yr old lad
“No Minecraft or Fortnight for two weeks, doctors orders!”
Addictive computer games impacting his life
I even wrote it on a prescription pad and signed it! Good luck to the pharmacist who gets that!

The response from the audience was overwhelming. One person advised the doctors around the world to take up this noble practice. Other drew attention to the lack of professionals to work on this issue. Social workers were indeed not sufficed to handle the crisis alone. Some Twitterati asked parents to take the blame of this calamity. One teacher pleaded to people to work out the issue. There were also many souls who pointed out that the ban on games would not banish the evil alone. According to them, doctors should prescribe some hobbies as well. Offered solutions did not limit themselves to the gaming domain but hooked up with nature too. Some of these genius minds advised a transition to green prescriptions. They asserted that this would connect the recovery of nature and kids together.
It is not that humans are not acquainted with the virulent impacts of gaming. But the obsession of developing a tech-soul within us has put our minds out of gear. We all feel the great urgency to make ourselves apt for this gizmo world. But in that fray, our bodies and divine souls have lagged far behind in our priority list. So the need of the hour is to construct a poised routine that could bolster our minds and bodies, not in parts but in tandem.
