Woman Broke Windows To Save Husband’s Action Figure Collection From Flood
Natural calamities crush the worlds thriving within the world. They unleash the reign of terror and destructions to rip apart the grounded lives. Souls have to toil hard to pull their lives back on the track and rebuild their happy spheres. Also, these times test the relationships and bonds between people. A couple saw that sphere of calamity when their house got in spate in China.
Floods have become a new normal for the Chinese people around for this year. They have devoured settlements and cities across the country since June. Some have cited the floods as the worst in the last two decades.
As a result, 744,000 people across 26 provinces have lost their homes. 63.46 million people in the country are toiling hard to resurrect their world. Out of these agony-stricken souls, a couple has made waves around with their love and devotion.
The Chinese couple, like other residents, saw the water levels rising around and enveloping their home in Yudong, Chongqing, China. But they could still see the hope that the roaring water would spare the second floor of their house. To their dismay, their lines of hope began to shatter with the water levels continuously rising around. They started recollecting the things dear to them in their minds but still in the house.
Then, they realized that the husband’s favorite toys and action figures were lying inside. The pernicious water levels threatened them not to take any unpragmatic approach to save them. But they were in no mood to let them go under the water. Thus, the wife decided to take the matter in her hands and arrange for their rescue operation. Her husband was not a good swimmer.
Thus, he could not participate in it.
His wife took on a rubber boat and broke a window to get her hands on the toys. Soon, she emerged out with her rubber boat full of the action figures from Gundam (a Japanese military science fiction mixed media franchise). Her husband lent her a hand in getting his favorites out of the boat.
A video capturing her heroic act surfaced on the Chinese micro-blogging website- Weibo. One can hear the husband saying, “I will never let you down in this life”. Not just that, another video showing the boat full of toys joined the narrative. It received more than 29000 likes and travelled around the world.
As one takes a look at the figures and packages, one can see each of them costing around £20-£30 on Amazon. Thus, they are indeed the prized possession and treasure for the man.
Shedding light on the reason why the husband did not jump in along with his wife, one person shared, “According to the water level warning line issued by the community, they thought it would not flood the second floor, but the water level rose. He can’t swim. His wife swims across the Yangtze River and assessed that the risk of stagnant water is not high and she has a life jacket, so she decided to save Gundam”.
The wife indeed deserves the best from her husband’s side.
