Artist Used Minecraft Game To Pay Homage To A Bob Ross Painting
The artist who was also a TV show host between 1983-1994 used soothing colors and strokes to make sure his work remained in the limelight making him an ASMR sensation. Decades after the show going off-air the good part is that it still exists on sites like Netflix and YouTube. The basic plot of the show titles ‘The Joy Of Painting’ was to connect the viewer and the host through the medium of television. Here the idea of ‘anyone can paint’ was endorsed. The most amateur and unlearnt people too could structure masterpieces. Even you could paint!
But what if you do not have access to a paintbrush the painting sheet and other gear necessary? How will you transform your vision into reality? Well this is how; popular YouTuber SmallishBeans came up with a very unique solution to the problem- using the Minecraft. The genius began using the game by first creating a big frame and then used a second account to show a secondary character staring at the frame from some distance. This enabled him to check the progress in real-time.
Post all this he selected one of Ross’s paintings as a point of reference and left no stone unturned to create its replica. He used a mod to fasten the placing of large blocks and the result is impressively similar to the original and can easily grace your walls as a piece of décor.
However not everyone is satisfied with the work saying it is nothing compared to the real one but we’re sure Bob Ross himself would have loved the brilliant idea because the goal here was to bring back ‘The Joy Of Painting’ and if SmallishBeans has discovered his way.
