Monkeys and bears have cherished a close bond with humans. They have also managed to stoke the fantasy of children. Their lively temperament also evolves in the zone to serve the best on that note. Therefore, many brands have added to their fame by coming up with alluring bits. However, bears are not only famous for pampering kids in their stuffed versions. One bear also hogged the limelight by eating a whopping 70 lbs of cocaine in Georgia.

The dots of the story go back to a drug-smuggling cohort. Andrew Thornton was a former narcotics officer and lawyer. However, he abandoned the path of novelty and joined the world of drugs. He went on to lead a drug-smuggling gang called The Company in Kentucky.

One day, the worse broke loose on Andrew. He ran with contraband from Columbia. On his way, he ended up dumping packages of Class A (cocaine) near Blairsville in Georgia. After that, he jumped off his auto-piloted plane. However, he could not survive.

His body soon surfaced in the driveway of a residential home in Knoxville. Probing the case, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations put forward the possibility of him hitting on the aircraft’s tail. Owing to that, he failed to open up his parachute and fell to the ground. Going ahead, they found him wearing a bulletproof vest and Gucci loafers. Apart from that, they also discovered a duffel bag of drugs.

The appearance of his dead body and the contraband somewhat put the lid on the case. But that was not all. They went on to track the path of his flight. After three months, they came across a 175-pound black bear dead in the Chattahoochee National Forest.

Scouring the area, they found a plethora of empty packets of cocaine by the bear. Looking deeper into it, they concluded that the big guy had consumed ten duffel bags of contraband. Thus, it was no surprise for them to find the bear dead in that state.

The medical expert (probing the case) shared, “Its stomach was literally packed to the brim with cocaine. There isn't a mammal on the planet that could survive that. Cerebral haemorrhaging, respiratory failure, hyperthermia, renal failure, heart failure, stroke. You name it, that bear had it.”

Soon, the bear was ruling the headlines. It also managed to bag the title of ‘Pablo Eskobear’. Not just that, but it also got its stuffed version at Kentucky For Kentucky store in Lexington. Taking on that part, it said, “Cerebral haemorrhaging, respiratory failure, hyperthermia, renal failure, heart failure, stroke. You name it, that bear had it.”
