According to the post shared by the kid’s father it all started when their two-months-old received a Buzz Lightyear onesie as a gift. The couple decided to share how their little boy Zoltan looked dressed as the famous Toy Story astronaut. The parents added some realistic tinge to Zoltan’s photo-shoot by designing a background complementing the spacesuit he was wearing. They used a thermometer to depict a shooting star along with eye-drop caps and scarves to represent other astronomical objects.

With a bit of Photoshop Benson and Michelle succeeded in capturing their son as a little astronaut in space. Quite impressed with their idea they both decided to do this every weekend until their infant turned one.The father used Canon 430EX Speedlite flash along with Olympus EM5 Mk II camera to complete the mission.

To not let their project turn stressful they devised some rules. The first disallowed them from thinking about the theme on the week-days. Next they decided to use random stuff like lego pieces stereo speakers ear buds etc to set the background and reduce the post-production work as much as possible. In the last rule the producers had set a time limit of 30 minutes to complete their production. The only exception to this rule was when the little star threw his baby tantrums.

The new dad shared some of the posters online. One that stole many hearts was the kid riding a skateboard. He mentioned that they sometimes decided the theme according to theavailability of the outfits. Thus one of the pictures showed Zoltan dressed as superman the other showed him wearing a military-grade-looking down jacket gifted by his granny. Probably his mother’s favorite picture must have been the one with him lying on heart-shaped scarves wishing his mum a happy mother’s day. This was a surprise set up by the daddy-baby duo.

Benson also shared that he got the pictures printed into a book with a blurb. However he jokingly added that he intended to show the book to his grandchildren someday and make them believe that their grandparents are way cooler than their parents. Recalling how itstarted Benson described this project as one of his most enjoyable ones.

The father also told why the couple stopped the project after their baby turned one. He said that looking at the agile nature of kids; it was not an easy job to get them clicked. Benson ended his post by apologizing to his future second child already for his ‘lazy dad’ wasn’t in a mood to enter into another baby photography project. Too bad baby 2 too bad!
