Dating trends have evolved over the year to pace up with the changing scenarios of life around the world. Embracing the virtual hues, it is seeing many apps raining in. Tinder tops the charts by helping people see their love on the other end. However, the problem of catfishing has dampened the spirits to some extent. To banish the evil, it has put in some stringent measures. A comedian named Carter Hambley fell prey to them.

The 21-year-old comedian from Chicago was bubbling to find his love in the virtual world. He went ahead to see his desire floating in Tinder’s rosy world. To allure people around with his profile, he went ahead put on his image, showing him with a photo shopped Star Wars character- Baby Yoda. Then, he waited patiently to let Tinder work out a perfect match for him.

To his delight, a woman caught up with him. As expected, she was stunned to see Baby Yoda in his lap. Thus, she started the conversation over that issue. She asked him how he managed to get it over there. Grabbing her query, he told her that he had photo shopped it. But she was not satisfied and again shot in the query about the Yoda.

That time, he tried to bury the issue and went ahead to ask her about her movie preference. But she burst up with rage and accused him of catfishing. Not just that, she also went ahead to report the matter of the photo shopped picture to the Tinder officials.

Soon, the man lost his Tinder account and landed out of the Tinder world. Stunned to see the course of things, he took to the Twitter world to share his experience with the social media users. Not just that, he also shared the screenshots of their conversation.

One can see from the screenshots that she asked him, “Where did you get that Yoda doll?”

He took it on a light note and replied, “Haha it’s just photoshopped”.

The woman then said, “No not the photo. I mean the Yoda doll”. Carter replied, “Yeah it’s not a doll, unfortunately! anyways! what kinda movies do you like, besides Star Wars, presumably :)”

She finally poured out her disgust over that. She said, “So you just… put a fake image on your profile? That’s literally the definition of catfishing. You’re a liar and a sneak and i’m reporting you. Not letting you fool anyone else with your little tricks.”

He captioned the pictures, “God, I hate this app”.

The post received one million likes, 144,400 retweets and 5,300 replies.

Grabbing the moment, many users turned up to share their Tinder story.

One of them shared, “Omg, it’s okay. I got banned about only wanting a relationship and I messaged Tinder about it and all they said ‘You violated the terms’ LIKE WHAT!? All because I said I don’t do hook ups or friends with benefits”.

Many others joined the platform. One revealed of having given up on dating and settled for a surrogate child.

Hopefully, the disappointed souls would find love in the air.
