Teenage Girl Had A Magical Date With Godzilla
A film or a TV series can leave an everlasting impact on us and sometimes the characters impress us to an extent that we fall in love with their presence on-screen. How many times have we hoped for an encounter with our favorite character? Quite a lot!
Seira Watanabe, 13, from Kansai, Japan has been an ardent fan of Godzilla. Her incredible collection of mini statues and figurines of the monster reflects her love for kaiju. This teenage girl even possesses the talent to imitate the famous roar of kaiju. Now, that’s a true fan.
Watanabe decided to write to the producers of the television show Tantei Naito Sukūpu. The theme of the show revolves around a Detective Agency which takes requests from the viewers and then, these viewers may find themselves following the detectives on the mission.
Since the TV show accepts various requests from their watchers, this girl submitted her request to go on a date with Godzilla. “My love is so great that I would like to marry Godzilla,” she mentioned in her letter.
This TV show, Tantei Naito Sukūpu has been involved in numerous unusual challenges that have captivated their audience. They once took up the task of taming a “beast” in someone’s attic and turns out, the beast was a flying squirrel! Impressive, right? Here’s another one – they were challenged to bake the most gigantic loaf of bread. An intriguing challenge involved an egg and everyone putting in efforts to make it stand upright. Okay, these tasks spill enough about the show.
If they could handle a huge bread dough and bake the biggest loaf, planning a date with Godzilla would be just a piece of cake for the producers and other staff of the show.
They replied to Watanabe’s letter and finally, showed up at this girl’s house in Hyogo Prefecture. The hosts knocked on the door and an excited teenager revealed her love for kaiju by giving them a tour of her collection.
The huge surprise waited right outside concealed with the window’s blinds. They were opened and kaiju stood there waiting for his biggest fan to run to him.
Nothing could beat Watanabe’s reaction when she saw Godzilla standing there. She could stand or breathe for a moment as she tried to absorb the dreamy situation. She falls to the ground and gasps for air as she witnesses her love at an approachable distance from her.
Watanabe’s grandfather chaperoned her on the date with kaiju. They went to the Godzilla Museum on Awaji Island, in Honshu Prefecture and strolled through the place holding hands. Watanabe wore a transparent face mask while Godzilla didn’t need one!
This girl even had a bento box with her and Godzilla pretended to eat the food. Their magical date came to an end and they headed towards the beach to watch the beautiful sunset. Watanabe embraced the loving monster, kissed him, and asked him to marry her.
Godzilla may have rejected the proposal but these two had a delightful day that this teenager will cherish forever.
