Teslasuit’s New VR Gloves Allow Pulse-Tracking And Feel Virtual Objects

Science May, 29, 2025

The device is simply known as “Teslasuit glove” and was launched at CES in January, 2020. CES (Consumer Electronic Show) is an annual show organized by Consumer Technology Association where various Tech giants boast about their new innovations and how their inventions will help the general public and move towards advancement.

The Teslasuit glove is like the teslasuit, invented for training, medical rehabilitation, and for other professional applications. This glove upgraded the level of technology as it does various tasks at one time like create the impression of touching and holding objects, integrates the motion of users’ hands and record pulse and other biometric information. The glove can also be equipped with the suit, enabling users to feel virtual textures naturally.

During the mid-‘10s VR boom, Teslasuit, one of several haptics and motion companies were launched. It was initially designed with the consumers in mind and later shifted to the business customers. It had the plan to launch the suit on Kickstarter in 2016, but cancelled that campaign and officially introduced its first product, a wireless full-body suit in 2018.

It has various applications like astronaut training, emergency evacuation drill practice, and other simulation scenarios which can help tackle various dangerous scenarios and help interpret successful results without actually facing the hazard in real life. A lot of people think that VR is just for gaming and entertainment purposes, but it is not true. It has multiple applications in education and training as well.

The Teslasuit Glove will face a tough competition with existing products from companies like Manus VR and HaptX. Teslasuit approaches different customers by highlighting its unique features. The glove hasa range of various capabilities like haptic and force feedback. To stimulate interacting with solid objects, it creates vibration and it also honed the exoskeleton element. It is completely wireless and can be connected to the WI-FI through suit.

It gathers real-time data like the motion of a user’s wrist and fingers and the user’s heart rate by including the pulse oximeter. It helps to measure stress, heart rate and other physical reactions to experiences.

Its basic features are same like Teslasuit, which gathers biometric and motion data and stimulate physical feeling with electrical stimulation. But on a sad note, Teslasuit announced that CES attendees can check out the suit but they can’t try the gloves yet as they are still going through testing and can experience the hands on later this year.
