Vintage Aladdin T-Shirt Was Sold For $6000
Aladdin is a 1992 American animated classic film which was produced during Disney‘s Renaissance age. The voice cast features Robin Williams’ role of larger-than-life Genie, who arguably gave the single greatest voiceover performance in movie history. No one would question why you might say it’s your favorite Disney film from that era, or why your favorite character is friendly blue wish- granter Genie.
But no matter how much you love the movie or the character of Genie; there is a certain limit of how far you would go for it. The reason for the limit is usually the financial cap. Because it’s unlikely that you would spend $6000 on a vintage t-shirt of your favorite film. However, the same happened recently in an online auction.

A journal recently reported an astonishing online clothing sale. Corbin Smith, 27, sold a retro Aladdin t-shirt online which is older than he is. He put the t-shirt online for sale on Virtual Flea. It’s a live stream market which has become very popular during the COVID, since people can’t do offline shopping. Smith had bought that oversized Genie T-shirt for 500$ and after a year he was hoping to sell it for about $2000 but he did a little better than he had expected.
Josh Adams, who is a vintage t-shirt collector and goes by the name ShirtCheck, bought the t-shirt for $6000.According to a journal, Adams believes that he possesses one of the biggest pop culture shirt collections in the world. At the very least we certainly know that he owns the world’s most expensive Aladdin t-shirt now. Although $6000 is a huge price to pay for a t- shirt but it could prove to be a great long-term investment. After all, it already jumped up an insane amount of value within one year of purchase.
And this has made us wonder how we have always wanted to find the Genie’s magical lamp which could make our wishes come true but maybe we should try to do more realist thing and buy and sell old clothes instead. That could make us great fortune just like it did for Corbin Smith.
